What kind of Wife AM I? Adam was leaving for his camp-out with the scouts this morning and I forgot to tuck his knot tying guide in between his sleeping bag and thermals. Sheesh.
I figured he could use this if he needs to make a raft or get a little nugget scout out of a tree.
This is why Heavenly Father made me a Young Woman.
Knots give me head-aches.

And remember: "Before tying knots, learn how to WHIP a rope to keep it from unraveling."
Lucky for my husband, I already taught him how to do this.

did I really just say that?!

Lemon Yogurt Poppy Seed Bread
Posted by
Erin Lee
Last week I tried making THIS, but it ended up a little too moist and spongey for me.
I decided to try the recipe again last night since I wasn't too happy with it--this time using less yogurt, and substituting the blueberries with poppy seed.
(I keep writing poopy-seed).
Anywho, GOOD. NIGHT.
I think the heavens opened for a split second and all was right with the world.
WARNING: this bread will not make you skinny.
But it will make you happy.
And it sure is pretty to look at:
For the glaze I whisked together lemon juice with powdered sugar and smothered the sucker. I let it sit for a while before I dusted the top with more powdered sugar (.....but lets pretend I didn't put that in there....)
Prolly one of the best things I have ever baked.
You're welcome.
Casey, please try making this. You won't be disappointed.
Bon appetit!

Happy Friday Birdies.

I love vintage bird prints. The Buies have 2 in Midway that i'm tempted to snatch off the wall every time i'm there. Instead, I do the right thing and look for my own on etsy. I could spend hours on that website looking for vintage goods. I love these:
Speaking of birds, this morning we were woken by a very LOUD and annoying bird whistling outside. Adam asked me if it was our next door neighbor, Carol. I almost peed my pants laughing.

(outside in the front yard)
Erin: What do you want to do today?
Adam: I dunno, what do you want to do?
---
Adam: Maybe I should be a Fireman.
Erin: ooohh...you would be so cute. I love suspenders.
---
Adam: Maybe we should make paper boats and sail them down the rain gutter.
Erin: OK.
not so *simple pleasures.
*i thought making these was easy. jeeeeez.

This morning as i hopped out of bed i stepped right into a pile of dog poop.
I then proceeded to get ready for work on a saturday. On my drive up the canyon, i encountered a flustery snow storm and walked through the snow into the office wearing peep toe shoes.
and now it's hailing.
May is looking real good.
bleh.
At least i've done some quality online dream-shopping. So far,
i need this.
i would love this.
this wouldn't hurt.
i can live without it, but still want it.
this i definitely can't live without.
eh, throw these in there too.
i'm glad tomorrow's sunday.
