taxes are giving me nightmares

me+him

We had a fun weekend in Midway eating, partying, and cooing over babies. I even prepared my lesson for Sunday and brought cookies for all the girls, only to realize as I was handing them out that it was fast-Sunday. Apparently i'm the devil. One girl really let me know it too. Sunday and Monday I cried because, well, it was that time of month and I was doing taxes. Not a good combination. This lead me to have nightmares last night-but can I tell you how wonderful it is to have someone to burrow under when you are having nightmares??? My poor husband.

I feel like I apologize to my newby spouse at least 7 times a day. He is so nice, and I am, well, the devil. I am glad he doesn't regret marrying me when I break down in tears while doing taxes or throw a tantrum because he wants to buy a Volvo Cross Country Wagon. (but c'mon- since when did I marry a 50-year old woman who teaches yoga and keeps dogs caged in the back of her car??) He is always so good to me and tickles my back and tells me that everything is going to be ok. because lets be honest--when you are on your period doing taxes, it seems like nothing is ever going to be OK. Thank goodness I have him, because if I didn't, i'd probably be looking for comfort in a tub of red vines.

One Month Down....

San Diego

Things i've learned about my husband in the past month that I didn't know about the past year and a half:
1. I am a trophy wife in training. Not only does he have some greys sprouting from his temples-he also insisits on buying old man butter. The white kind in the tub with zero-none-zippo! cholesterol. This was kindof an issue-I registered for a cute butter dish! And lets not talk about the kink he has in his back as of yesterday...
I'm just waiting for him to throw ensure into our grocery cart.
2. He is also a little boy. He sings me a song every morning in a little kid voice and pouts and flales his arm when he doesn't get his way. regular butter = pout & arm flale.
3. Shoes. Wow, shoes. I mean, I knew he owned a lot of shoes-but this fetish is unbelievable. The other day there were 6 pairs lying next to our bed. 6!? Don't even get me started on the tupperware bins...
4. He is very clean. Despite the clothes and, ahem, shoes lying around the bedroom-he is always cleaning and tidying our little abode and helping with the laundry and dishes.
5. He's a real BOY. He takes 2 minutes to get ready every morning and always leaves the seat up-this has become quite a problem because apparently it's giving me nightmares.
6. He scratches my back practically in his sleep. Could there possibly be anything better?!
7. Now i've known this from the beginning, but he is always thinking of things to do--it's nice marrying someone who has more friends than I do acquaintances.
8. He is a dream-reader. But we already established that.
9. Adjusting to married life with him has been so extremely easy and fun-I couldn't ask for anything more! Well, maybe some cute couches-but that's it ;)

honeymoon

Honeymoon 145
Honeymoon 077
Honeymoon 149
Honeymoon 159
Honeymoon 136
untitled
Honeymoon 107
I cried almost the entire flight to Mexico-I just thought of our wedding the night before and cried cried cried. It was so wonderful. The girl next to me on the plane kept handing me tissues. (I'm sorry I embarrassed you Adam)
I was fine once we landed, and so our honeymoon began...

I loved cuddling you and kissing your cute dimple every night. I loved swimming with the sea turtles with you. I love playing lifeguard with you at night in the pool. I loved when you posed like a body builder. I loved riding the scooter all over Isla de Mujeres with you. I loved that it poured rain all over us. I loved how after introducing yourself to every Mexican, they all asked if my name was "Eve". I love that you wouldn't let me buy the $6 dollar haribo gummy bears. I love that we yelled in the echo-dome in the Houston airport. I love that one day you decided from that day forward you would just call me "sexy". I love that you speak spanish, and I love that my favorite part of the whole honeymoon was cuddling with you and watching iron chef.
I loved our luna de miel and I love being your wifey.

xo,
Sexy.

I love you more than finding a small stain on my shirt, then realizing it's just a piece of fluff.
And that's a lot.
