I should be ashamed of myself PART II

I don't have any bridal or wedding photos printed. On Saturday I was going to print one of these puppies off for my parents and for Scott T's birthday, but every printing shop in PC was closed on Saturday. ugh. Wedding stuff still isn't over....
Speaking of birthdays, Adam is a little upset that for the REST of our lives, he will have to share his birthday week with me and his Dad. That's right, our birthdays are the 25th, 26th, and 27th of September. This has become quite a problem because birthdays are a pretty big deal in the Buie household. I've really never seen anything quite like it. Shrines I tell you, Shrines.

All in all it was a wonderful birthday weekend, and in the end freshly manicured nails, new minnetonkas, and a coconut cream pie made erin lee one happy girl ;)

Last year for my Birthday I woke up alone, went and had a wonderful facial by the ever-so-talented Emily, went to lunch with Adam, then went to his house and made-out on the love sac. Isn't making out in the middle of the day kinda weird??? Anyway, we drove up to Park City and my family surprised me with a beautiful new cruiser (which I have yet to ride). We celebrated with family and friends and ate coconut cream pie until the cows came home.
This year I hope to wake up next to my Addy, meet up with Emily, go out to eat with my new husband, make-out (why not??), drive to Park City, and spend the night with my family and friends-all while eating coconut cream pie. I might even take my bike out for a spin ;)
It's crazy to think how much my life has changed the past year, but I love that my Birthday will always feel the same ;)

Back to Life. Back to Reality.
I was anxious to come home, look at all my weddings pics and get back to REALITY--tho I feel I have neglected this poor blog, and hope to make it up to you with all of these lovelies I have discovered and saved in my inbox over the past little while:

My not-so-new favorite blog oh, hello friend makes me want to hibernate in my windowless bedroom for days and wrap little pretties such as these. Creepy? No, Crafty.

Now I don't know if I would wear a flower the size of Australia on my shirt, but these (not-so-little) gems make me want to re-do my engagements, AND would make my body look really tiny. Thank you, Emerson Made. You are like J Crew on steroids.

In my next life i'm going to be a seamstress/upholsterer (is that a word?) and spend my days making my own clothes and covering old furniture with the most beautiful life-altering fabrics one could ever lay their eyes on. For now, I would just like to purchase this ever-so-lovely couch from here.

I wanted to use this idea for my own wedding-but thought it was a little more shower-ish. Anybody getting married soon???

Something I can't live without is a CALENDAR. I bought this one on etsy last year, and love it-but not as much as I think I would love this one. Only $12 on overstock!

Puppies, Presents and Pie

The name of this post was about to be "Chloe, Crab, Cake, and Casey", but that sounded a little....strange. Last Thursday we had a Birthday extravaganza for MauREEN, and it was SO much fun having everyone come over and celebrate, as well as play with the new pup, Chloe. Casey even surprised her by flying in from DC! We love you MOM! And we looooove little nugget Chloe.

The other night I had a dream I was participating in the "Dead Man's Marathon". It took place in some Egyptian city and consisted of running, swimming through mud, and hiking pyramids (Is that even possible??) Anyway, running the marathon with me was my family and Adam. Once we crossed the finish line I remember feeling such a strong sense of accomplishment-I was completely out of breath, hunched over with my hands on my knees, and I look up to see my Mom sitting there in a chair, as if she had already finished the race.

"Did you finish already?!" I said, trying to catch my breath--

"NO!" she replied, "this guy over here kicked me out half way because he said I was too OLD".

Then I woke up. I thought it was funny, but I don't think MauREEN will think its funny.
Mom, I hope you have a great Birthday- and remember, you are never too old for ANYTHING---but i'm really sorry you missed rock climbing up the pyramids, that was the funnest part ;)

This post has been delayed due to his recent trip to Italy on his BIRTHDAY, but don't think I wasn't going to post anything--HaPpY bIrThDaY tO mY tRoYbOy.
After meeting on the school bus in middle school, you have become one of my Besties and are like an older brother to me. Thank you for all the fun drives, breakfasts at Little America, talks on the roof, camp-outs on the tramp, trips to Disneyland, and ridiculous videos. I really do have a love/hate relationship with this kid.
But I still love him, and here are some reasons why:

• He turned our house into a studio 600 for his 19th Birthday a few years back while my parents were gone.
• He came to my house and built a fort in my living room with me when I called him crying.
• He watched all seasons of LOST for us and hid under a blanket with a laptop for 24 hours straight and would only come out occasionally for a pee break.
• He lived in our house for MONTHS before my parents ever found out.
• He taught me an entire salsa dance routine until 2 in the morning in our kitchen.
• And last but not least, he started his own dating company and had his face blown up on a billboard in Provo (and if you don't believe me-- www.bematchedutah.com/)

I can honestly say, there is NO ONE like you. And I like it that way. Happy Birthday Daniel, lets keep this one mellow.
